1. How would you describe yourself in five words?
Open minded, curious, ambitious, motivated and persistent person.
2. Why did you choose to do an ESE?
Because I want to learn new skills that will help my growth in the future, both personally and professionally. In my opinion an ESE is a good opportunity to work on yourself and developing some specific skills.
3. Why did you choose Idrija as welcoming town?
When I found out about that opportunity from my sending organization I started to research about Idrija and I have noticed that it's not some ordinary place, it is a place with a rich history, and beautiful nature which worth seeing. On the other hand I consider my being in Idrija as a good opportunity to improve my Slovenian language skills, meet new people and learn more about Slovenian culture.
4. In what way are BiH the same as Slovenians?
In my opinion Slovenian and Bosnian people have many common features. They both have a friendly mood, and they are always ready to help each other. As well as Bosnian, Slovenes people also have a good and close relation with their neighbors and relatives. Young people love to spend their time in cafes with friends. Both of them live in such a beautiful countries with amazing nature that when I try to compare them it is hard to decide which one is the more beuatiful. Bosnian and Slovenian language belong to the same group of languages, so we share some common words and phrases. Even though there are some differences between us I think that those differences just need to unit us.
5. What do you think about the Idrija Youth Center?
As far as the Idrija Youth Center is concerned I think that there are so many interesting projects which help young people to discover their potential and get to know themselves better. I think that the existence of this center gives Idrija a new life filled with young people who want to build a better and more beautiful world.
6. What have you done in the past?
I graduated and gained Master of Chemistry degree at the Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo. I have a lot of volunteering experience and I have been working with young people and children for a long time. I was attended in the project Fundraising group for Older brother, Older sister where I learned about philantropy, local fundraising, and presentation skills and organizing a public events as the main part of the campaign. I volunteered in the project Older brother Older sister as well. In that project I was trained to work with children in order to organize and spend quality time with the child. I have been volunteering in Astronomical Society „Orion“ Sarajevo for two years. I lead STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) workshops. There I used to work with children from elementary school, and helping them to get familiar with chemistry and science making practical science experiments.
7. What do you like to do the most?
I enjoy traveling that is the number one. It makes me happy because I get to know new cultures, new people and cuisine. Then I like working with children and take care about animals. In my free time I like walking, running and spending time with my friends and family. Also I like reading books as well as learning new languages.
8. What is your first impression about Idrija?
The first impression about Idrija was it look's like Vareš (Bosnian town). Both of them are small mining town, have a nice and similar nature and both have lake, Idrija has Wild lake and Vareš has Nula lake. For now I can only say that Idrija looks like small, beautiful and mystical place, that will be interesting to explore it.
