Med 16. in 22. oktobrom je v Mladinskem centru Idrija potekal mednarodni trening na temo mladinskega uličnega dela. Udeležilo se ga je 20 udeležencev iz 5 držav. Ta je bil namenjen opolnomočenju mladinskih delavcev pri vzpostavljanju in izvajanju aktivnosti z mladimi na javnih površinah v svojem lokalnem okolju. Na treningu smo mladinski delavci pod vodstvom usposobljenega trenerja z več letnimi izkušnjami na področju mladinskega uličnega dela skozi intenziven program usvajali klasifikacije in definicije uličnega dela z mladimi ter faze in etične principe pri uličnem delu z mladimi. Poleg nekoliko bolj teoretskih vsebin pa smo se mladinski delavci urili tudi v posameznih fazah mladinskega uličnega dela - opazovanju terena, lokacij, kjer se zadržujejo mladi, v načrtovanju in izvajanju ativnosti za mlade in z mladimi. Prav tako smo del treninga namenili spoznavanju termina ranljive skupine mladih (at risk youth), kjer smo skozi različne praktične aktivnosti usvojili pojem socialne izključenosti in pristope pri delu z mladimi z manj priložnostmi. 

Skozi enotedensko usposabljanje smo poleg novih znanj, ustvarili tudi nepozabne spomine in navezali tesne stike, za sodelovanja tudi v prihodnje.

V prihajajočih mesecih bo izšla tudi brošura, kjer bodo na kupu zbrane vse informacije o uličnem delu z mladimi in aktivnosti, ki smo jih mladinski delavci razvili na tem treningu.

In this training, we got the chance to learn about and practice street based youth work. The training was very informative with lots of hands on experience which was very helpful. The skills we learned this week has helped me gain more confidence and knowledge in street youth work and I am more confident to start practicing in the street.

During the week of the training we had the opportunity to learn more about youth work. Through games and discussions we learned how to approach yound people in a more efficient way, how to actually listen to their needs and to come closer to our the inner child. I'm really thankful of this project. I'm looking forward for more to come.

I have learned a lot by being a part of the training “Street based youth work”. Creative skills and innovation (by creating a game and working together for one goal), to overcome the obstacles that could happen, knowledge and experience (by meeting the youth of Idrija and being on the street). We got different sessions which showed us in depth what the youth work is really about. Also practical touch of the subject. Through the discussion we got between us I felt we can deal with anything in a positive manner, address the issues properly and end up with a mutual agreement and perfect result.

At the start of the project I wasn’t sure what to expect. But now after all the workshops and practice with professionals in the street based youth work area I’m sure what’s it about. I appreciate that we got knowledge mostly by participating in demonstrated situations, activities and games. We learnt how to deal with complicated situations connected to street based youth work and how to integrate them into programme. In my view the Erasmus + projects fill the gap in educational schools system. At the end I would like to thank you all for time that we spent in Idrija together?.

I learned how to reach youths on the streets in an effective way so that I can empower them to be active participants in their communities. I liked the involvement and the intensity of the project. Project showed me different perspectives and new ways to approach and deal with youths in my environment. Activities, presentations and games were very thorough, well explained and fun. And last I liked the environment in the center, the city and the cultural exchange which I experienced.

In the end it was intense, crazy, helpful, friendly. Thank you for this project.
